REVIEW: War Brides – Regrets (Album)

By Cheri Faulkner @cheripetal · On March 6, 2017

So War Brides are something totally different to what I have ever actually had the chance to listen too. It’s weird but in a good way where the vocals somehow meld to the instruments well which surprises me a lot. I honestly could not describe what the genre of these guys would be but I would be extremely interested to see what they sound like live because it’s something extremely unique.

Something tells me that these release could really end up being one of my most played releases as I am all for weird new sounding bands but this tops it and makes it interesting in such a weird way. Definitely having trouble working out which song could be my favourite song because they’ve got all sorts of genre’s into it, Like the start of their song Halitosis has quite an anarchy punk start to it which really interests me. Some parts of their album seems all over the place so I don’t know if I could listen to every song on this release constantly as it feels a bit like it’s just noise, it’s a fifty fifty shot that I could listen to the whole album through a lot more times because their just seems to be a lot of riffs  that get clouded in the mix.

I’d give a lot of credit to people who could actually tell me what sort of style this band is because it confuses me but also intrigues me quite a lot.
