Being from the same town as Voices From The Fuselage it’s really nice to hear a refreshing sound coming out of Northampton in a very over saturated scene with the use of perfectly situated samples to really build a hype up into the start of the album with the first track called Ortus really shows what this band is all about. They’re definitely on the softer side of the progressive metal.
After listening to their past releases I feel that they’ve really matured with this release and found exactly the style of music that they truly want and signing to White Star Records only solidifies the on going success that this band are being rewarded with which they truly do deserve.
I have been waiting for quite some time for a new release from these guys as I was a very big fan of their old album To Hope which I still listen to quite frequently to this day now.
One thing that has always stuck out about this band is the unique vocals from Ashe which you’d be able to tell that they’re Voices From The Fuselage and that they’ve got a unique tone in which this band delivers with such precision. I feel that this album has quite a lot of influence from a Dream Theater era of music.
The song that has stuck out on this release has to be Devil’s Advocate for the slot intricate build up with the drums and samples. The guitars really build an eerie slow build up into what could be classed as a masterpiece, Ashe voice compliments the instruments extremely well which is hard to find in modern day music. The drop could only be described as an extremely executed vibe with the progressive sounds while Ashe souring cleans really comes out in full force on this drop.
This album has everything done right on the atmospheric side of progressive music and I could only be more excited for the future of these guys and the release.
One of the best Atmospheric progressive albums to be released in quite some time.
