Rise Records have made numerous big signings over the years, but nothing quite compares to the acquisition of the Post-Hardcore outfit that is Silverstein. You can pick their latest album Dead Reflection up now and be assured that after the success of their first single, Retrogade, it seems the Canadians are set to revitalize a somewhat extinct genre.
What springs out straight away is the addictive personality the album possess. One listen and you are sold. Tracks such as Ghost, Lost Positives, The Afterglow and Cut & Run soar the album into a home run, it cements itself as a very worthy listen, and pushes that rating into the top end.
Full of passion and catchy, heartfelt vocals, with head-bang encouraging guitar riffs. They are very ‘anthem’-like in their vibe, hooking you in. The eighth record from the seasoned, 17 year old veterans show they are still alive and kicking, with a few aces up the sleeve.
You can catch Silverstein on the follow dates in the UK later this year:
Friday 8th December Southampton @ Talking Heads
Saturday 9th December Brighton @ The Haunt
Sunday 10th December Cardiff @ The Globe
Tuesday 12th December Glasgow @ G2
Wednesday 13th December Newcastle @ Think Tank
