Memphis May Fire are one of them bands you either love or hate and there’s no in between with these guys. I personally love them but I know a lot of people who don’t like them.
I have had the fortune of watching these at Ghostfest when they headlined it and they blew me away so I was excited for this album as soon as they said that they’d be releasing it just like all the other albums that have been released. I feel that they’ve really matured their sound with the incredible range from their vocalist Matty Mullins who seems to be improving every album which I still find amazing as I thought he was incredible on everyone of the records.
This album also has featured guest vocalist Jacoby Shaddix and Larry Soliman who completely slay their parts in the songs This Light I Hold & Not Over Yet.
I feel that these album is by far my favourite release of these guys and I can’t wait to see them on tour with The Devil Wears Prada, Silverstein & Like Moths To Flames because I believe this album will really solidify the crowd and what their meaning in this album.
Rise Records were super clever to get these guys on their label and to continuing releasing albums through them after listening to this album and past albums I can see why Rise Records kept the guys signed to them.
Memphis May Fire are constantly blowing everyone out the water on every release and they are certainly become a band to seriously catch live after listening to this album track by track for quite a few times.
The song that really stood out on this album for me would have to be This Light I Hold as everything is perfect in the song and featuring one of my childhood bands vocalists really helps solidify a complete love for the song and I can’t help but overplaying it.
If you're looking for a heavy but melodic band then Memphis May Fire new release is for you
