Listening to Junius is something I didn’t expect to do. I have heard of these guys for a while and this album is actually such a masterpiece with the instrumentals really connecting with the vocals and having the orchestra behind really builds up an atmosphere on the track. I feel that everything about this release is something quite special as everything is well written and played to a perfect orchestra background which really makes it something unique than what I mostly listen to nowadays.
I feel that if I had to choose a favourite song on this release it would have to be Clean The Beast for the atmospherically build up while the vocals shine straight over it which then drops as if it’s got a bit of a grungey vibe which I really can’t stop listening too. This track would definitely be my most played track on the album due to some harsh vocals but mostly clean vocals that shine through this song cleverly.
The vocal range of their vocalist is something unique as he has some of the most unique cleans I have heard in a while that really fit with the instrumentals and orchestra background music. It’s really hard to find a bad thing about the vocals personally but the instrumentals seem to be pretty repetitive which sucks as the vocalist really has an incredible voice that could pretty much be why I love this band. If you’re after something with a unique twist on the vocals then I reckon this one would be for you.
Junius have a unique vocal range but unfortunately sound quite repetitive on the instrumentals
