Habberdash have dropped a new single, Like A Lover, in anticipation of their new EP Morning After The Madness due to drop late 2018.
The song has an overall pop rock feel to it but in terms of originality it is quite generic (in my opinion,) and doesn’t do a great deal to stand out from the already largely populated pop rock scene. I have mixed feelings with the song in terms of the lyrics and feel like they could have had a bit more refinement to them, composition wise it’s fine and I like how it’s compiled together but to me, it is just an average piece that I feel like I’ve heard before. There is a female vocalist in the song but no mention of who she is and I rather enjoyed the part where the tempo of the overall song changed and her singing was more prominent over being the occasional back up to the male lead.
