I personally wasn’t sure what to expect from the new Emmure album due to them changing members but this is actually such an incredible release from start to finish. It has the punch that they had in all of their previous releases while having more heavier riffs and more technicality than just using chugs through the entire album. I feel though that Frankie (vocalist) has really put a lot more time into the vocals than all of the other previous releases as they seem clearer and straight to the point instead of feeling all out of place.
They’ve really hit it hard with this new release because the singles they’ve released to this album were good but nowhere near as good as the rest of the album, everything seems to be played perfectly and keeping that true Emmure sound that we love dearly. Definite personal favourite of this release would have to be their last track titled ”Gucci Prison”. I feel just everything about that song makes me want to go wild and I reckon a lot of people will probably agree with me. Another track that really screams out to me also is Turtle In A Hare as it’s got a bit of a prog-ish vibe to it while keeping their punch which I just can’t get enough off and some eerie clean vocals that deliver an atmosphere to it.
I would definitely recommend anyone to actually get this release because I frankly have trouble faulting any of this. Emmure have sure come back with near enough a full line up who know exactly how to deliver a brutal sounding album.
One of the best releases I have heard from Emmure in quite sometime.
