I fucking love Glaswegians. Anything that hails from Glasgow gets extra points from me and Blood Thread are no exception. Blood Thread gave me exactly what I wanted and then some with Era of Corruption. It’s just so… Phwarr
Era of Corruption goes from 0-100 so frigging fast my brain doesn’t know how to process it quick enough and I ended up a puddle of female ejaculate of which any passers by would need waders to get through. Is that inappropriate? I don’t even care. It’s shit hot and I still don’t even know how to comprehend it after listening to it for a solid week. I knew I was going to love it after listening to The Tormentor a few days before I got my hands on a copy of the EP and it did not disappoint.
The EP is beautifully tight and the boys bounce off each other so smoothly it’s like caramel. A vast improvement from their previous EP The Tolerance Is Over. I’ll be seeing Blood Thread live towards the end of the month so we’ll see if that transpires to the stage. So let us get technical. I’m going to call on the powers of my musical education and say it’s not as simple as it sounds good but that it is good. Each member is exceptionally talented, and (as usual for me) Tony’s vocals stand out as being uncommonly versatile while never being out of place.
Something very rare and very special happened while I was listening to Era of Corruption. I enjoyed it. I grow so wary listening to so many bands who just aren’t that great so it’s refreshing to listen to something that wasn’t a load of drivel. So please for fucks sake give me a full length album, I am actually begging you.
