Essex based pop punk quintet A Few Too Many are due to release their debut album Lessons Learned on the 19th of May.
The album consisting of eleven tracks starts off with catchy song I Always Knew and immediatley gives a Blink 182 kind of vibe. A lot of bands might aim for the classic Blink 182 pop punk sound but the five piece actually provide this sound through the mix of guitar, drums and the singing combination of Michael and Danny.
Second song on the record is called Moving Forwards and set to be the next single release of the band. It is a great song and just as catchy as the first one. Showcasing their ability to tackle slower songs, the album contains At Our Pace, Lessons Learned and melodic acoustic track X to bring out their emotional side.
Song Battle Within goes a bit more in the direction of Jimmy Eat World and I can imagine Young to be a really great live song containing a refrain to sing along to and a guitar solo.
Despite the heavy Blink 182 sound A Few Too Many still manage to bring a lot of their own personality and vibe into this great record.
Decent pop punk sound with Blink 182 vibe but still with it's own personality
