Slam Dunk Festival’s second announcement sees a further nine acts join; Jimmy Eat World, Taking Back Sunday, State Champs, Four Year Strong, Sleeping With Sirens and Trash Boat.
The biggest name of the announcement comes in the form of pop punk veterans Good Charlotte, who will be bringing a multitude of hits from their career. After reforming last year, Thursday are another act who have stood the test of time in their scene, not counting the five years they spent on hiatus that is! And fans of more contemporary Pop Punk won’t be disappointed either, with both Real Friends and Knuckle Puck, (pronounced Kanookla Pook), both two of the biggest names in the scene at the moment.
Pop rock and electro group PVRIS will return to the festival, having swollen in popularity since their appearance back in 2015. Hot off of their Theatre of Fear UK tour, Creeper are also set to return to the festival, bringing their melancholy blends of punk and pop-rock back to the festival.
For those something hoping for something a bit more rancorous, Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, and Every Time I Die are both known for their infamously hectic live shows, and won’t fail to provide two brilliant sets. Crown the Empire are returning, after last stopping at Slam Dunk way back in 2014.
Slam Dunk recently won the award of Best Metropolitan Festival in the UK Festival Awards.
The Festival runs May Bank Holiday Weekend, 26th-28th May, stopping at Leeds City Centre, Hatfield Park and Birmingham NEC respectively. Tickets for the weekend can be bought here.
