May bank holiday weekender Slam Dunk has announced another four new acts for this year’s line up. Joining co-headliners Good Charlotte and Jimmy Eat World are; Reel Big Fish, Roam, Goldfinger and The Audition.
Ska legends, Reel Big Fish will be returning to the festival, a firm fan favorite in years past, the bands fervent tackling of Slam Dunk’s stages has seen festival goers from all back grounds coming together to dance along to one of the best party bands the festival has seen. Also no strangers to Slam Dunk, are Goldfinger who’ll be bringing their sensational marriage of Ska and Pop-Punk along with them.
UK Pop-Punk starlets Roam have recently shared the stage with New Found Glory, and are set to hit the road with Australian Pop-Rock trail blazers Tonight Alive for a run of UK shows in March.
The Audition’s appearance at the festival will be their first shows after nearly a decade apart. Vocalist Danny Stevens says “We couldn’t more excited to be coming back to Slam Dunk Festival. We were part of the festival in the early years and the Slam Dunk shows and club nights in Leeds before that. To have our first show together as this group in nearly 10 years is really something special.”
They join an array of acts already announced, from all over the alternative spectrum; from PVRIS to Comeback Kid, Frank Carter and the Rattlesnakes to Twin Atlantic, there’s bound to be something for everyone, and there’s more to come!
Slam Dunk takes place 26th-28th May and starts in Leeds City Centre, moving on to Hatfield Park and finishing at The NEC in Birmingham. Tickets for any of the dates or the all weekend Megaticket can be found here.
