Extremely excited for this show as I have heard a lot about Black Peaks and have heard the rest of the bands music and really loved it.
When we got in the openers Any Given Day were due to start but I felt like they were missing something as instrumentally they were tight but I felt that the vocals were just leaving a lot to be desired unlike when the album released it was immensely well done. I feel this band are certainly going to be one of them bands that are good on recording but lack a lot live unfortunately.
We go onto the second band Black Peaks who a lot of people have really been hyping about and you can see why but they just didn’t fit this line up. The vocals and instruments fitted together perfectly but they just were the wrong style for this and you could tell as the crowd were mostly taking the piss and not really getting into the band as much as if they were on a line up that suited them.
We go onto the main support Crossfaith who are incredibly the few times I have seen them and they haven’t dissapointed me yet again. Playing my favourite songs like Jagerbomb and their famous cover of Omen by Prodigy which really got the crowd moving wildly. The pits opened up quite a big part in the room which everyone started to join in but you got the odd few people who were just trying to be dicks and aim for everyone like they were for me. I couldn’t resist getting involved in the pits for these guys as they just got me going wild during their set.
We come onto the headliners Bury Tomorrow who I have watched from a small band to where they have become now and it’s no surprise as they just keep getting better and better every time I see them! Playing my favourite old song of their’s called Her Bones In The Sand really sold their set to me and also playing Knight Life was a really big hit for me. You can tell the crowd were there to see them as the room erupted and everyone was singing along really loud to all their songs me included in that. Would definitely gladly go see Bury Tomorrow again to see if they can beat the performance they put on from this show.
All in all this was one of the best gigs I have been to in sometime where everyone was friendly and you could talk to anyone and they hold a full blown conversation with you and understand what you’re saying about the bands.
Only problem with this line up was that Black Peaks really did not suit this tour
